This candle requires 3 x AAA batteries (not included) and features a rocker switch on the base. Choose between ON, OFF or TIMER (6 hours on, 18 hour off). You can expect up to 50 hours of illumination of continued use before batteries will need a change; this is based on using non branded batteries. If you choose the 6 hour timer, you'll have just over a week of illumination without having to touch the candle.
